Actually, my focus was the baby and my daughter first, and then the friends. I usually cook enormous meals for 20 or 30 people when we decide to throw a party. With the way I've been feeling lately, plus the new baby and trying to eat right, I asked my husband if he would get frozen lasagna's from the grocery instead, and he thought it was a great idea. I had a salad, but everyone else said the lasagna tasted great. I had a bite of terra misu (spelling?) and it was delicious, but really rich. Its amazing how fast your palate becomes used to not having copious amounts of sugar and fat, and how foreign it tastes after just a few days without it. I have to say, I am a bit more tired today than the previous couple of days, and have a headache, probably from eating fewer carbs and drinking too much caffiene, but it will all even out. Thank everyone who has posted, I really appreciate your support. I'm actually looking forward to Wednesday, because my pants are fitting a little looser. I am going to do my damnest NOT to become a slave to the scale, which is why I'm only going to weigh myself once a week...otherwise, its too easy to see a little water as an extra pound and get discouraged and lose ground. I WILL NOT LOSE GROUND. I want to chase my daughter across the park. I want to swim a mile again. And I want to be able to climb 10 flights of stairs without throwing up.
